A.T. Still University's School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona (ATSU-SOMA) is seeking a full-time exempt Director of Curricular Administration on the Mesa, Arizona campus.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Demonstrate knowledge and provide oversight in the administrative delivery of the SOMA curriculum for years 1-4. Innovate, co-design, co-maintain, and oversee staff in the architecture of digital resources and distance learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Zoom, ExamSoft, Evalue, Progress IQ, etc.). Administratively support the Assistant Dean of Preclinical Curriculum and Assistant Dean of Clinical Curriculum in the organization and delivery of student orientations. Serve as administrator of academic calendars for the university, faculty and staff, and students. Supervise support staff in curriculum design, organization, management, and assessment for years 1-4. Supervise staff members in gathering, organizing, securing, and reporting course data and pertinent records. Supervise staff members in the archiving, organizing, and analyzing of longitudinal course data. Effectively communicate and interact with students, staff, faculty, and leadership in all matters related to the curricular needs of SOMA. Participate in designated institutional activities. Maintain FERPA confidentiality and security regarding student information and grades in accordance with applicable law and Institutional Policy and Procedure. Assist with other duties and functions as needed/assigned by the Assistant Deans of Curriculum.Must possess the required knowledge and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the job's essential functions can be performed:
Supervising staff. Managing projects. Developing, implementing, and monitoring policies, procedures, and workflow. Strong computer literacy and proficiency with digital resources and learning management platforms (e.g., Canvas, Zoom, Microsoft Office 365, EValue, ProgressIQ, etc.) Preparing a variety of reports related to curriculum activities, including statistical analysis. Accurate data entry skills. Excellent organizational skills. Maintaining an established work schedule. Ability to be self-reliant and follow instructions. Possessing excellent grammar, writing, and proofreading skills. Using various office equipment (e.g. copier, fax, scanner, etc.) Sound decision-making capabilities and the ability to work independently and as directed by the Assist with other duties and functions as needed/assigned by the Assistant Dean of Preclinical Curriculum.Education & Experience:
Graduate degree in management or education-related field. A combination of education and experience may also be considered. Experience leading and supervising a team. Education technology experience. Project management and organization. Medical education experience preferred.Prior experience with Learning Management Systems.
