This position will start in October/November 2024 and continue through the summer season until April 2025

Resting on an unspoilt coastline where high cliffs nestle into three pristine private beaches, you can have a true New Zealand experience in beautiful Northland. About the role:We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced person to lead the wine programme with our award-winning team.
Reporting to the F&B Manager, you will have an effective presence on the floor, driving our wine experience for our guests with thoughtful pairings and meaningful connections. You will be responsible for managing the cellar and training the team. This is a key position and the successful candidate will need to have a strong focus on excellence, plenty of enthusiasm and a flexible approach , plenty of enthusiasm and a flexible approach. Responsibilities include:
Training and upskilling the team; in both food and wine service Supervising shiftsBuying and ordering wine; maintaining the cellarWorking closely with the head chef around daily menus and appropriate pairingsAbout you:A passion for service delivery and the Hospitality Industry Excellent wine knowledge with proven ability to engage guests and maximise wine salesWSET qualifications, at a minimumPrevious senior level Food & Beverage experience in boutique lodges or 5 star propertiesA background in Relais and Chateaux properties will be highly regardedKnowledge and ability to train, grow and lead a teamImpeccable personal groomingKnowledge and experience with Hospitality Management systemsStrong and effective communication skillsAbility to work accurately in a fast paced and dynamic environmentExceptional organisational skillsFlexibility and maturity in approach - able to work shifts, including weekendsAnd a winning personality, with the ability to surprise and delight! What we offer:We offer competitive wages, delicious staff lunches and access to our Staff Perks Programme with a wide range of discounts and deals with our suppliers and partners.
