Groundbreaking cardiac procedures at Dominican include the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) procedure which allows for heart valve replacement without opening a patient’s chest.Dominican Hospital has forged significant partnerships with area hospitals to bring exceptional care to Santa Cruz County. The hospital offers a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) through a partnership with Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. Neurosurgery at Dominican is also offered through a partnership with Stanford Health Care. **Responsibilities** **Position Summary:** This position is responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures and/or NIV testing at a technical level not requiring constant supervision under the general direction of a radiologist and radiology administration. In accordance with the mission and philosophy of Dignity Health the Sonographer is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for performing diagnostic testing used in the assessment planning implementation and evaluation of care for patients. **Qualifications** **Minimum:** + Must have completed a formal Sonography course or have completed four years of progressively responsible experience in an ultrasound department (such experience must have been within the last five years). + High School diploma or equivalent + Current certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasonographers (RDMS) or RDCS or RVT in at least one field of specialization (i.e. Echocardiography/Doppler Abdominal or OB/Gyn) or eligibility for certification and must achieve certification within one year of eligibility (CT ARDMS) + Current Basic Life Support for healthcare providers required (CT CPRBLS) **Pay Range** $88.23 - $88.23 /hour We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
