Responsibilities

Mayo Clinic Healthcare in London has an exciting opportunity for a Sonographer! 

The Mayo Clinic Imaging Department has the state-of-the-art technology. We have a 3 tesla Vida scanner, Somatom Force, GE Logic 10 Ultrasound, Siemens general x-ray. Hologic mammography unit, and a IDXA scanner. We cover all area of specialties in Imaging. As we are expanding our services MAYO is recruiting highly skilled radiographers who would like to onboard this journey with us. It’s a great time to join MAYO London.

Sonographer with exceptional skills that will be able to showcase or evidence of excellent clinical ability, organization and interpersonal skills. Our Executive Corporate Health Screening patients benefit from general abdominal, pelvic, TV, venous, arterial, carotid Doppler scans and Liver Elastography. Sonographer will undertake, without immediate supervision, a full range of screening diagnostic sonography procedures and develop skills at interpreting complex clinical information, independent reporting, responding to changes promptly and appropriately. An autonomous, practitioner who works independently but also an important part of the team in developing specialized plans for both patients. 

Sonographers with multi-modality experience are encouraged to join the MAYO Imaging team as we like to ensure there is Continuous Professional Development. We are also open to provide training in other modalities within our Imaging Team 



Qualifications

Diploma of the College of Radiographers or BSc equivalentCurrent valid HCPC (Health Highly developed specialist Diagnostic Radiography Care Professional Council) registration is requiredUK recognized PG certificate/PG Diploma or Certified in Medical Ultrasound registered with HCPC or NMC Undertake all imaging procedures in line with existing modality guidelines in accordance with best practise (IRMER2017), CQC standards, SOR and RCR guidelines Highly developed specialist Diagnostic radiography knowledge, with relevant Evidence of continuous Professional Development Knowledge of application for different Imaging procedures and understanding the risks/benefits associated with safety requirementThe ability to work autonomouslyManage time and prioritise workloads according to service /clinical needs Build and sustain professional relationships as part of the Imaging team as well as part of a multidisciplinary teamThe right to work in the UK Able to converse in English

Additional Experience and/or Qualifications: 

CT/MRI/Mammography experience will be desirable.
