This position qualifies for a sign-on bonus of $10,000. Terms and conditions apply.    Under the supervision of the Supervisor of Medical Imaging Ultrasound, the Senior Technologist of Medical Imaging Ultrasound will be expected to provide the highest quality Ultrasound care to your patients and referring services. They must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her unit. This position works collaboratively with staff to prioritize and organize schedules and to triage routine and emergent procedures. Assists medical imaging management in the daily operations of the departments by working closely with patients, medical staff, and other internal teams. Performs patient care. Performs data entry operations using appropriate hospital software. Responsible for supplies on hand for procedures while keeping supply costs as close to budget as possible.    Hourly Pay Rate: $38.42 - $56.67   Qualifications
Education: Requires an associate degree in medical Sonography or a related field or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work. Experience: Requires two (2) years of ultrasound experience. Prefer two to three (2-3) years of ultrasound experience. Certification/Licensure: Requires certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in Abdomen or OBGYN. Prefers to be certified in RVT or RVS. A BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center is preferred and will be required within 3 months. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her unit. Knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's departmental policies and procedures.  Requires the ability to be a creative, independent thinker, managing self, time, and resources.  Must exhibit a high degree of professionalism, customer service, and enthusiasm.  Proficient in computer systems and knowledge of medical imaging information systems, including PACS and EPIC.   Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
