JOB SUMMARY
The Sonographer - Ultrasound - Casual performs Ultrasound examinations under the direct supervision of the attending Radiologist. Records and reports findings for Radiologist review and interpretation.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Graduate of an AMA accredited ultrasound program.
Preferred/Optional: None
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Minimum Required: Must possess critical thinking and decision-making skills, have effective communication skills with patients, physicians, and staff. Must have knowledge of patient care techniques.
Preferred/Optional: 0-3 Years experience in hospital or clinic setting preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required: AARDMS registered or eligible, must obtain registry within 1 year of hire. BCLS certification required.
