Sonography Technologist

Responsible for effective delivery of care to patient in a multi-modality setting by operating US equipment to capture appropriate images. 

Prepares patients for US exams and explains procedure to patient prior to the exam. Correlates the clinical history with the US exam to be performed.  Follows Professional, and Departmental guidelines while performing diagnostic and accurate imaging.  Imaging includes predominately Brest Imaging and Abdomen, OB/GYN, Renal, Endo-vaginal, Aorta, Testicular, Thyroid, non-vascular limited, as needed by department. Able to access, interpret, communicate, and deliver age-appropriate care. Ability to troubleshoot equipment.  Practice universal precautions and aseptic technique to prevent cross contamination.  Ensure all images are properly marked and patient identification is accurate.  Respond to individual needs of patients and family. Adheres to standards of care per policy and procedure manual.  Treat fellow employees in a respectful professional manner demonstrating PRIDE values.  Ensure open, respectful communication between peers. Maintains open communication with Manager, Assistant Manager and Business Supervisor. Provides feedback and suggestions for improvement.  Contributes to the team and works cooperatively with peers.  Demonstrates ability to multi-task and prioritize. Seeks pro-active solutions to address questions concerns. And other duties as assigned by site leadership.   

Minimum Education: 
High School diploma or GED required.

Graduate of Accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.

Minimum Experience:
2+ experience performing Ultrasound.

License/Certification:
ARMS Certified in Breast and General US.
BLS - current certification.
