Position Summary:
The Service Engineer III will troubleshoot and repair Sony professional video equipment including Broadcast, ENG video cameras and Professional Broadcast monitors. This role should be able to configure, upgrade and test new Sony products as required and proficient in using electronic testing equipment, including waveform signal monitors and oscilloscopes to effectively diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues. A solid understanding of broadcast system environments is essential along with a commitment of maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring operational efficiencies.
What you will do:
Support key strategic accounts Provide phone and virtual product support Resolve technical issues in a novel creative approach, develop new concepts and approaches, if necessary Escalate issues when physical repair is deemed necessary Work independently or part of a team if required Regular contact/interface with customers regarding issues and driving product challenges to final resolutionWhat's in it for you:

Associate's degree or equivalent with an emphasis in electronics, electrical engineering, broadcast engineering and/or systems preferred. Bachelor’s degree a plus. Minimum 5-8 years of experience with hands-on repair and service of broadcast electronic equipment, displays and monitors are required. Proven work experience in a broadcast system environment Experience utilizing electronic testing equipment including waveform signal monitors and oscilloscopes. Proficient knowledge of digital and analog circuitry is required and ability to read schematics. Strong communication and presentation skills Organizational, time management and decision-making skills are needed for this role. Experience with camera OHB block RPN concealment process. Experience in precision soldering is required (SMT) BGA soldering skills is a plus Knowledge of and use of sophisticated test equipment in the repair process is required. Must abide by ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) procedures. Proficient skills in MS Office SuiteKey Performance Indicators (KPIs) include:
