Sourcing Analyst-2

JOB SUMMARY

The Fuel Sourcing Analyst - US sits within the Global Fuels team reporting to the Director, Fuel Supply and Trading North America. This role will provide analytical support for fuel sourcing and act as a key point of contact for BU’s and other central teams for sourcing related activities. Analysis activities includes supply cost evaluation, margin improvement opportunities, branding/rebranding decisions, biofuel and RIN analysis, and terminal/source point optimization. Engagement with fuel suppliers, fuel logistics, fuel accounting, and BU’s are critical components of the role which provides a great commercial developmental opportunity for the right candidate to grow within the Global Fuels organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supports RFP process in evaluating best supply options across all sourced product in the US.Become subject matter expert in RFP software and analytics.Collaborates with Global Fuels and the NA BU’s to forecast supply, demand, and understand market dynamics.Analyzes performance of fuel sourcing activities.Maintain and build out analytical reporting affiliated with contract database.Identifies opportunities to streamline or improve team analysis efforts or team processes.Assists in providing continuous improvement in the reduction of the cost of goods of refined products supply.Provides transparency on success, failure, performance, and projections to leadership through metrics analysis and reporting.Achieves financial objectives by assisting in preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions. Allocates program costs by preparing operational and risk reports for analyses.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing determined Financial and Key Result Area targets pursuant to Company Plan guidelines.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.  Other combinations of job related experience and education that meet the requirements may be substituted2+ years of petroleum supply and marketing experience, including practical knowledge of various index and rack based pricing mechanisms.Experience managing projects with multiple stakeholdersExcellent communication skills.Strong organizational and networking skills.Very strong analytical and financial awareness for modeling and analysis.Extremely detail oriented and able to work in various data environments.Experience with MS Outlook, Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint and Word preferred.
