Sourcing Analyst
We are recruiting a Sourcing Analyst to join our Procurement team in Pittsburgh PA. Reporting into the Commodity Management team. You will be responsible for executing commodity strategies to improve cost, productivity, quality, and innovation capabilities within the global supply base. As part of this, you will analyze and manage the company’s global commodity spend, assess market conditions, identify opportunities to create value for the company, and align business needs for quality, cost, delivery, and growth. **Responsibilities & Deliverables** + Develop high-efficiency, high-quality domestic and/or global sources of supply for materials and services. + Execute commodity strategies and provide detailed reports, analysis, and sourcing or business-related presentations to staff and management. + Assist in managing the global supply base through development of supplier scorecards and quarterly business reviews. + Develop RFQs to competitively bid, evaluate, and select potential suppliers. + Must be able to travel up to 10-20% to find, develop, and manage domestic and/or global sources of supply. + Source wide range of materials and suppliers to strengthen the global supply base and support commodity strategies. + Manage commodity spend using procurement processes & systems. Focus on price, quality, delivery, innovation, supply chain efficiency & working capital. + Negotiate, implement, and manage multi-tiered supplier contracts. + Use data analytics, industry benchmarking, and strategic sourcing methodologies to build a robust pipeline of PPV/VAVE cost savings initiatives. + Stay current on new processes, techniques and supplier capabilities using continuous improvement tools. + Able to project manage a cross-functional team, including suppliers, to successfully implement a commodity strategy, cost savings initiative or transition a source of supply. + Collaborate with Fortive Category Managers to ensure best practices and greatest leverage in procurement, low-cost region sourcing, supplier assessment & management. + Execute outsourcing and dual-sourcing initiatives within commodity space. **Organizational Alignment** + This role reports directly to the Commodity Manager team, and works very closely with Supply Chain, Supplier Quality & Engineering, Regional Service Centers, and Asia Pacific Operations. **Qualifications** **Skills & Work Traits** + Ability to navigate through ambiguity and change; excel in a fast-paced environment. + Ability to leverage metrics and other tools to drive supplier performance. + Solid business judgment, including the ability to anticipate the impact of decisions. + Ability to consult, advise and influence cross-functionally within the organization. + Highly analytical, with a clear, logical understanding of problem-solving including Root Cause, Corrective Action, Counter Measures, Problem Solving Process, and Action Plan development and execution. + Strong financial acumen and ability to develop financial business cases for strategic decision making. + Capacity to be a change agent, demonstrating persistence and resilience when faced with challenges. + Excellent negotiation and conflict management abilities. **Technical Competencies** + Working knowledge, proficiency, and understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing environment. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. + Experience with Oracle EBS a plus. **Experience** + 5+ years’ experience in a global operation and leading continuous improvement initiatives. + Experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, and Data Analytics within a manufacturing environment. + Knowledge of finance and accounting characteristics of supply chain. **Education** + University Degree (Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent) in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, or related field. + ASCM or APICS certification as CSCP, CPIM, CLTD a plus. + ISM certification as CPSM a plus. **Fortive Corporation Overview** Fortive’s essential technology makes the world stronger, safer, and smarter.
