Key Responsibilities

Oversee the purchasing of services and supplies necessary for operating the organization, including machinery, equipment, tools, and raw materialsPartner with the Coatings and Sealants, Sales and S&T teams to identify, support and manage material availability to meet production needsSupport PPG's Coatings and Sealants Science and Technology Labs when supplier issues arise and implement resolutionsAttend required meetings with suppliers and partners, to support our needs and continuity of supply chainCommunicate with purchasing, engineering, and manufacturing regarding inventory levelsReview proposals for price, delivery time, and quality, and select suppliers accordinglyInstitute and promote cost reduction projectsDirect the purchasing function, including managerial and administrative responsibilities and authorize purchase orders

Qualifications

Two (2) years in a lead, supervisory, or managerial role in Supply Chain, Production Purchasing, or related experience requiredBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related discipline requiredExperience in business process analysis, lean and six sigma, quality assurance, strategic sourcing, team facilitation, materials management, QAD, ERP (e.g., SAP), and cost reduction strategies preferredAPICS certification preferredAbility to travel up to 25%Must be a U.S. Citizen

Salary Range: $95,000-$120,000 Depending on experience
