SET THE COURSE

The Sourcing & Product Development Intern will be a part of the Men’s or Women’s Sourcing & Product Development team helping deliver on cross-functional projects that support the development and execution of our product line.  The Intern will have the opportunity to interact with teams involved in design, technical design, production, product management and merchandising, and sustainability.

The Internship will last approximately 8 weeks during summer break timeframe.  The start date of the internship will be June 12th.This is a paid internship opportunity. This role is not eligible for benefits.

BE THE ISLAND GUIDE

Assist Product Developers to develop specific classifications within the Tommy Bahama line for upcoming season(s).Update and maintain development WIP (work in progress) reports across multiple seasons to ensure vendor and corporate calendar deliverables are met through all development stagesCreate and maintain samples tracking chart to track and receive from initial sample stage through salesman sample stage.Support category manager in reviewing samples for product accuracy.Track and review seasonal development costs and issue POs with Manager’s approvalAssist category manager in reviewing tech packs for accuracy and generating tech packs to send to vendorsMaintain and update Flex PLM with sourcing data for vendor allocation, milestone meetings and merchant product data downloadsAssist in updating and maintaining cost sheets.Support category manager and manager with various projects and duties as neededAttend cross functional and milestone meetings as needed.Attend Milestone Meetings (sample reviews/adoptions) with Sourcing & Product Development team, assists in presentations as requested.Flexible for other duties as needed to help support the overall business. 

ESSENTIALS FOR LIFE IN PARADISE

An expected graduation date of December 2022 or Spring 2023 in Fashion Design or related degree.
