We have an exciting opportunity for a Sourcing Consultant who enjoys searching for and engaging hard-to-find talent, generating leads, and creating a robust talent pipeline for available positions and future needs.  We are looking for someone who has good business acumen, that connects our prospective and current talent to our brand in a meaningful way and converting non-applications into applicants.

Reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition, this role will focus on talent sourcing for various Business Operating Units in Stantec, helping us build our diverse inclusive and engaged workforce.

Your Key Responsibilities Proactively collaborate with Talent Acquisition Consultants and business leaders to design and implement sourcing & research strategies thus supporting identification, pool creation and pipelining of potential candidates on an ongoing basis. Utilizing your influencing skills to foster and maintain effective working relationships with peers, internal clients, community organizations, and potential candidates to support the accomplishment of talent acquisition goals. Researching and developing best practices and engagement strategies to attract and acquire high quality talent and build talent pipelines in alignment with the organization's projected growth, inclusion diversity & equity initiatives, and Talent Market trends. Formulating innovative and creative sourcing & research methodologies to identify candidate names, competitor organizations, building detailed candidate maps and talent pools globally and in compliance with broader inclusion, diversity, and equity initiatives. Participating in sourcing “drop-in” calls to share tips and resources with the Talent Acquisition team. Developing competitive intelligence (hiring practices, salary information, layoffs, etc.) and leveraging that information to develop a pool of talent. Optimizing all ATS and talent acquisition tools, systems, and resources. Attend intake meetings, client briefings/conference calls as required. Participating in special projects as required. Your Capabilities and Credentials Self-motivated and well-organized individual, with attention to detail and a sense of urgency. Strong intellectual capacity - a continuous learner, highly analytical, with good conceptual thinking skills and can translate all that think beyond traditional recruitment methods. Excellent communication skills - able to communicate tough and complicated matters in a candid, transparent manner. Capacity of building credibility with the skill to persuade and influence stakeholders, business leaders, and potential candidates. Expert research capability and ability to build and develop strong relationships and industry network. Experience using information sources that include social media, business and industry specific publications, and online platforms. Education and Experience 6 or more years of sourcing experience in corporate or agency environment or both, with a deep/proven experience directly related with various research methodologies in a strategic sourcing or research role. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Library science, Business or related field. Architecture/Engineering related recruitment experience required. Designations such as CIR/AIRS, SourceCon Academy, Certified People Sourcing Professional Certification is an asset. 

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
