Sourcing Manager
Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Manager, Sourcing in the Management industry, based in Tempe, Arizona. This role will be centered around leading strategic sourcing activities for assigned projects and supply categories, with an emphasis on obtaining optimal quality, service, and value through effective bidding, negotiation, and supplier management. Responsibilities: • Lead the planning and execution of strategic sourcing activities for assigned projects and supply categories. • Manage the development and implementation of cost reduction initiatives. • Oversee the optimization and rationalization of the supply base. • Conduct risk assessments related to sourcing and supply chain management. • Handle the transition of products and services as part of supply base optimization. • Implement strategies for new product introductions in coordination with the supply base. • Manage supplier relationships and agreements to ensure quality and service standards are met. • Utilize analytical skills to assess and mitigate risks in sourcing activities. • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure value for products and services. • Facilitate effective communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Requirements • Must possess excellent communication skills for effective team coordination and client interactions. • Should be proficient in payroll management, ensuring accurate and timely payments. • Requires expertise in materials handling, ensuring efficiency and safety. • Must have a strong understanding of quality assurance processes and standards. • Should have a solid background in finance, capable of managing budgets and financial forecasts. • Expected to handle clerical duties including documentation, record keeping, and reporting. • Strong negotiation skills are required for dealing with suppliers and stakeholders. • Must have the ability to track and report on progress of various projects and tasks. • Should be experienced in the implementation of business strategies and plans. • Engineering background is a plus, especially in relation to supply chain processes. • Experience in optimization strategies for improving efficiency and performance is necessary. • Must have a robust network of suppliers, and experience in supplier selection and management. • Proficiency in supply chain management is a must for efficient sourcing and distribution. • Should be able to draft and manage agreements with suppliers and stakeholders. • Must have strong sourcing skills to identify and secure high-quality resources. • Onsite work may be required, so flexibility and adaptability are essential. • Should be equipped to conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies. • Must have strong analytical skills for data-driven decision making. • Familiarity with contractual laws and regulations is required. • Should have a proven track record in achieving cost reductions in sourcing processes. • Must be able to plan and execute strategic source activities. • Experience in developing and implementing mitigation strategies in response to risks is necessary. • Proficient in supplier management, including performance assessment and relationship management.
