Position Overview:
As a Sourcing Specialist II, you’ll play a critical role in driving powertrain-focused supplier performance to meet Polaris’ strategic priorities: Delivery, Quality, New Product Integration, and Cost Competitiveness. In this role, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally to ensure smooth production processes, tackle supplier challenges, and execute cost-saving initiatives. You will also work closely with the New Product Sourcing team and Engineering teams to implement sourcing strategies that support innovation and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain powertrain-specific supplier relationships, resolve issues, and ensure corrective actions are timely and effective.Negotiate supplier contracts, tooling costs, piece costs, scrap payments and more.Ensure supplier contracts and engineering documentation align with production goals and technical requirements.Coordinate resources and schedules across departments to support vehicle development, production, and launch.Prepare and manage requests for quotes and proposals based on defined strategies.Perform cost analysis and resolve pricing discrepancies to drive financial performance.Oversee supplier transitions, cost reduction projects, and capacity improvement initiatives.Track supplier performance on quality and delivery metrics, driving continuous improvement initiatives.Collaborate with suppliers to address quality issues, root causes, and containment measures.Assist with part shortages, design changes, and tooling needs to maintain uninterrupted production schedules.Desired Competencies:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.2+ years of purchasing or relevant Supply Chain experience.APICS and/or ISM certifications are a plus.Proven negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated leadership with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams effectively.Experience with MAPICS MRP or other web-based business systems (preferred).Ability to read and interpret engineering documentation and technical data.Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presenting to leadership.Proficiency in project management tools and MS Office.Willingness to travel up to 25%.Interest in engines or powersports is a plus.#LI-RAO
