We are seeking a Sous Chef to lead the food service production at FM Global’s Corporate office dining facilities! + Directly managing back-of-the-house employees. Responsible for onboarding, mentoring, and supervising kitchen staff, including cooks, food workers, and kitchen assistants. Delegate tasks effectively to ensure that each team member understands their role and responsibilities. Promote a healthy, respectful, supportive and inclusive working environment. + Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and plating. Ensure that the kitchen staff adheres to recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards. Monitors the quality of ingredients, ensures proper food storage, and handling procedures, maintains high standards of cleanliness, and sanitation in the kitchen. + Responsible for ensuring all Health and Safety sanitation and quality standards are met. Keeping the workstations and kitchen equipment clean, organized, and sanitized. Managing kitchen inventory and ensuring supplies are fresh and of high quality. Ensuring kitchen staff adhere to set standards, procedures, and sanitation requirements. + Collaborate with the Conference Center leadership and staff to ensure efficient service and guest satisfaction. Supervise and assist with all production for catering services. + Stepping in for the Executive Chef in their absence and providing proper direction to the kitchen staff. + 3+ years in a managerial role; 6+ years of experience as a chef or lead cook + Associates Degree in Culinary Arts preferred + Food Safety Manager certification required + Strong verbal and written communication skills + Demonstrated leadership skills The hiring range for this position is $26.63 to $38.31 per hour. The final salary offer will vary based on individual education, skills, and experience.
