Job Summary:
For an upscale household with 2 adults and 4 children in Southern Germany. Committed to supporting and encouraging their employees to excel in their roles. You may need to adapt to formal settings as well as more personal, family-oriented interactions. The priority is to create a welcoming environment for everyone. This spirit of collaboration is expected from all staff members. Reporting to the Head chef, you will prepare meals for the family as well as their domestic staff.
Job specification:
Planning and preparation of fresh daily meals from breakfast to dinner for the family Preparation and presentation of meals for private events or receptions in the house Preparation of staff meals Developing creative and healthy menus, taking into account special dietary requirements (e.g. vegetarian, gluten-free and allergen-free) Purchasing fresh, seasonal and regional ingredients while adhering to the specified budget Stock management and organization of warehousing Compliance with and monitoring of hygiene and safety standards Travelling with the family. The family spend approximately 3 months overseas and will need to be supported by either yourself or the head chef during this periodCandidate specification:
Completed training as a chef (m/f/d) or comparable qualification or professional experience Professional experience as a cook (m/f/d) in a private household or upscale gastronomy required Profound knowledge of healthy nutrition and specialty food is an advantage Native proficiency in English or German, additional languages like Spanish, French or Italian welcome Good organizational skills Discretion and absolute trustworthiness Flexible working hours and willingness to work weekends and public holidays Open to accompany the family abroad Possession of an EU passport Work permit for Germany if no EU Passport Valid driver’s license Ability to remain calm and resilient under pressure Comfortable in a rural setting in the countryside Comfortable taking a backseat in a formal environment, focusing on supporting the team and contributing to a harmonious working atmosphere.
