Overview of the role

We are looking for top-caliber, highly motivated, upbeat hospitality professionals to take on the challenge of becoming a world-class hotelier. The perfect candidate shall ensure the effective performance of Inter-Kitchen communication, meetings, technical knowledge and job skills training for all food procedures, create enthusiasm for training development amongst his subordinates, motivates and leads by example, communication of food trends, and market needs to his staff, and communication of local requirements food sanitation laws, safety regulations, and other to all staff.

 

 

Key Accountabilities

Plans in conjunction with the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef’s activities, promotions, menu, implementation according to annual marketing plans. Fosters positive thinking and motivation within all Food and Beverage Kitchens by giving active assistance and advices on more effective ways of running the kitchens. Ensures that positive working relations with non-Food and Beverage departments are fostered in giving cooperation at all times. Relates guests’ comments, positive or negative to the Executive Chef and takes proper actions. Ensures that all designated action points from daily briefings or bi-monthly operational meetings are being followed by the individual concerned. 

 

General Requirements

At least 2 to 3 years experience as Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef in a 5 star Hotel or reputable restaurant, a total of 8 years in Culinary experience Basic Culinary education Possess a good leadership ability with strong focus on training and upgrading of food quality and portion control Specialize in the art of pastry, breads, chocolate, buffet and restaurant service Skillful in hygiene and sanitation standards
