SOX Analyst
Description We are offering an opportunity for a SOX Analyst to join our team in the located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. As a SOX Analyst, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and updating Sarbanes - Oxley documentation, conducting risk assessments, and driving mitigation activities for special projects. You will also have the opportunity to lead assessments of the control environment and participate in Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) assessments. Responsibilities: • Facilitate updates to Sarbanes - Oxley documentation and conduct risk assessment activities. • Lead quarter-end and year-end assessments of the control environment, including assessing and assisting in resolving complex problems. • Participate in or lead training sessions for control owners or other relevant parties on an ad hoc basis. • Drive mitigation activities for special projects, which may include evaluating risk and implementing appropriate risk mitigation tools related to system implementations, upgrades or enhancements. • Develop ad hoc reports and process improvement initiatives, including driving technology changes. • Participate in Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) assessments of risks. • Evaluate and provide approval on changes to role and access risks. • Provide work direction and training to others, such as control owners, analysts, and interns. • Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications efficiently. • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as required. Requirements • Minimum of two years of experience in a SOX Analyst role • Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems • Proven track record in Auditing and Compliance • Experience in Financial Audit and IT Audit • Demonstrated ability to make Effective Presentations • Strong Collaboration skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is preferred • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously • Knowledge of SOX requirements and regulations.
