SOX Compliance Specialist

Reporting to the Compliance Director for Supply Chain, this role will be providing compliance guidance, SOX control oversight and reporting and supporting control transformation over the SOX controls across the Supply Chain owned areas which include;

Source To Pay- Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, Return, for both direct and indirect,  

Order To Cash- Order Management and Customer Invoicing

Record To Report- Non Revenue Leasing

Applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives. Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope helping control owners to solve control deficiencies and/or implement new key controls. May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process. Exercises independent judgment within generally defined compliance policies and practices to identify and select a solution. Ability to handle most unique situations. May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex business issues.

Responsibilities:

Provides controls support complex, financial analysis for a financial function or a business in the area of compliance & controls for Supply Chain owned process areas.Establishes and maintains relationships with business leaders to guide and influence decision-making.Prepares and provides SOX status metrics and status to the Source To Pay Control and Process Owners.Provides guidance on Key Controls and SOX RequirementsMay perform quality reviews associated with Control documentation and/or evidenceSupports policy and process improvement and identifies opportunities for compliance improvementIdentifies issues and proposes solutions.Represents finance on cross- functional teamsPrepares training guidance and delivery to stakeholdersProvides mentoring and guidance to analysts and control performers or owners

Education and Experience Required:

First level university degree with a focus in accounting or business; advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., CPA)Supply Chain or Inventory knowledge is helpfulTypically 4+ years of experience as an auditor or accounting analyst.Typically experienced in more than one finance functionAble to work across time zones

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong understanding of USGAAP accounting principles, compliance and controls.Strong business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel,Word, Ppt, Visio)Ability to create SOX Flow Diagrams is helpfulProcess Improvement (yellow/greenbelt) understanding is helpfulDashboard/ Power BI skills are helpfulComfortable speaking with non finance partners (eg Operations)Strong communication and influencing skills.Excellent teamwork skillsGood business acumenAttention to detailProactiveEfficient
