A Typical Day

The Senior SOX Analyst will assist in defining control objectives and monitoring compliance efforts to achieve and maintain compliance with SOX regulation. As the Senior Analyst, you will assist in defining, analyzing and documenting risks, related assertions and control activities.

 

The Senior SOX Analyst will:

 

Perform walkthroughs of process flows and interact with process owners to assist them in determining appropriate SOX control activities, improvements, remediation, and documentation enhancementsCoordinate the annual 404 assessment process interacting with the internal and external auditors and process owners to facilitate the testing processPrepare reports related to SOX testing, issue tracking, remediation and the overall 404 assessment processImplement the Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) automated toolAssist the SOX team with special assignments necessary to support business strategyPerform other related duties as required and assignedDemonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience3+ years of internal audit, SOX compliance, public accounting, or accounting/industry experience; Big 4 preferredPrevious SOX 404 process exposure and the development of risk control matrices. Knowledge of COSO integrated frameworks for internal control (1992 and 2013), risk assessment, control design, control documentation, testing of operating effectiveness, remediation procedures, and scopingExposure to all financial cycles and IT general controls and IT application controlsExposure to automated governance risk and compliance tool a plusCPA, CIA, or CISA preferred Why You Should Join

Compensation: Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below:

Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the roleMid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role
