We are looking for a Spa Assistant Manager who is responsible to supervise the overall Spa Staff to ensure all day to day standards and procedures are adhered to delivered at the highest level of guest satisfaction in the spa by performing services to the best of their ability and maintaining Four Seasons standards throughout all interactions. Facilitate training and evaluations of all staff. Ensure all administrative duties including but not limited to payroll, scheduling, inventory management, trainings, progressive discipline and expense supply are maintained and effective. The Spa Manager must at all times display professionalism and attention to detail to serve as an example and leader to the rest of the Spa and Fitness team.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
The ability to fully manage the Spa & Fitness Center in the absence of the Spa Director.
The ability to assist the Spa Director with the supervision, management and growth of the staff:
Producing the weekly schedule to meet guest demand while staying within the company labor standards.
Monitor, coordinate and processing vacations, days off and shift change requests in a timely manner, and ensuring that changes do not negatively impact the schedule or guests.
Effective spa yielding of the treatment book and spa soft.
Timely completion of labor punch edits and documentation as needed along with any needed documentation to ensure correct pay role procedures are met.
Completion of all Spa payroll on a bi- weekly basis to ensure that payroll procedures are met.
The ability to interview, train, schedule, monitor employee performance, discipline and complete payroll for all personnel who report to him/her.
The ability to participate in member fitness assessment, consultation and follow-up programs.
The ability to assist the Spa Director in giving guidelines, direction and monitoring for the development and effectiveness of the spa operation.
The ability to participate in all spa sponsored and corporate events.
The ability to assist the Spa Director in tracking and developing statistical reporting.
The ability to monitor the guest areas of the Spa to ensure that the reception area, fitness, locker areas, aesthetics & treatment rooms, and guest corridors are at all times neat, orderly, and well stocked, daily walk through of the Spa on shift with follow-up to staff and engineering based on needs that have to be met.
The ability to maintain a high level of fitness to act as an effective Spa leader and role model.
The ability to monitor operating supply funds for the Spa Department and generate necessary purchase requisitions. The ability to participate in all hotel meetings as necessary.
The ability to monitor the housekeeping standards and mechanical effectiveness of all facilities, report deficiencies as they occur and follow-up.
The ability to assist the Spa Director in monitoring all facility and service standards and keep him/her appraised of any operational opportunities.
The ability to maintain a safe and hazard free environment for all staff and members and promote safety awareness at all times.
The ability to review all suggestions and comments from guests and make necessary adjustments.
The ability to keep accurate and up-to-date records and statistics on the spa as well as of the employees.
The ability to develop all operation manuals for department and implement training programs to ensure the growth of the department.
The ability to ensure timely and effective performance reviews for the department.
Daily communication to all Spa Team members regarding daily/ upcoming events through use of daily briefings, pass on longs, memos, or any other means necessary
The ability to keep the Spa Director informed about the department, all employees' performance, and guests concerns and comments.
The ability to assist other departments when possible.
The ability to convey clear instructions and guidance to staff and establish working relationships that attain a high level of effective employee morale.
The ability to respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation. CPR Certification
Completing as needed special tasks as deemed necessary by the Spa Director in a timely manner.
