Overview DESCRIPTION: Primary responsibility is to provide leadership, oversight, direction and synergy in the following areas: Quenche, Pool Areas, Fitness Center and Intentional Spaces (Cabanas, Sky Lofts and Grotto). This leader will provide additional support in all areas of Loma de Vida. This leader will be responsible for the day to day operations of these areas to include: scheduling, programming, activating the spaces, financial performance, training and coaching and to ensure overall cleanliness and maintenance of these areas. These responsibilities include but are not limited to operating within departmental budget/forecasting goals, and ensuring compliance of regulatory matters specific to the Spa. The Operations Manager ensures an efficient and fiscally responsible operation through assistance in development and implementation of department policies and procedures. The Manager shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. They will be responsible for exemplifying the La Cantera Resort and Spa Culture as well as promoting La Cantera Resort and Spa as both the Destination and Employer of Choice! ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Monitor the compliance of cleanliness and safety policies and regulations within Loma de Vida and Quenche Establishes processes to insure elite guest experience and service in Pool area, Quenche, Fitness, and Intentional Spaces (Cabanas, Sky-loft and Grotto). Assist in all phases of Loma de Vida and Quenche services, cost control, and associates Research, develop, recommend and implement department products, programs and services Assist in the recruitment, supervision and training of associates Maintains thorough and accurate records and complete all required departmental reporting Manage Aesthetic and Body/Massage Department Schedules, Interviewing and Supply Orders. Demonstrate retail planning, ordering, and inventory management acumen. Develop a collaborative alliance with the Director and Asst. Director in elevating guest experiences and associate engagement. Weekly MOD shifts. Presence and support at the front desk pods. Guest recovery with guests who have concerns. Weekly Payroll. Ensure time edits are submitted daily. Maintain up-to-date maintenance HotSOS requests to ensure all facility issues are addressed immediately. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: Advanced knowledge in industry techniques and practices Previous spa supervisory experience, preferably in a luxury resort Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills One (2) to three (3) years previous leadership experience within the F&B/Spa/Fitness industry Industry certifications a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and computer skills. Demonstrated leadership skills, by certifications, and/or examples through prior experience. Strong training skills and training program development. Ability to prioritize tasks to effectively lead a large team and stay competitively innovative within the industry. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Constant standing and walking throughout shift Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs. Occasional ascending or descending stairs and ramps Daily pushing of laundry carts up to 40 lbs
