Position Title: Space Monitor, Student Assistant Requisition Number: 0406073543 Location New York City Position Type: Student Department: Mannes/Dean's Office Responsibilities: The College of Performing Arts seeks highly motivated students to serve as Space Monitors. We’re looking for trustworthy, professional, and detail-oriented individuals to support the College’s maintenance of its spaces and resources. This position reports to the Academic Space and Equipment Coordinator. Based on worker availability and College needs, candidates may be hired to work shifts at either Arnhold Hall (55 W 13th Street), Bank Street (151 Bank Street), or both locations.
This position is open to student applicants with Federal Work Study awards as well as students without a Federal Work Study award.

Responsibilities: Be present and responsible for a key to unlock specific locked rooms when registered and approved users require entry to those rooms. Shifts are tentatively scheduled as follows, with possible variance based on building hours and worker availability: Weekdays (Monday-Friday) 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Weekends (Saturday & Sunday) 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM Perform hourly monitoring of College of Performing Arts Spaces, recording any irregularities in a space log and escalating when necessary. When necessary, return spaces that have not been ‘returned to neutral’ to their neutral setting for the next user. Additional duties as assigned.
Work Mode: On-Campus Position

Hourly Rate: $16.00-$19.00

Hours per Week: 10-20, depending on availability and need.
