Space Planning Intern
Overview The Space Planning Intern will analyze Sprouts Farmers Market performance data while working collaboratively with the Space Planning team to develop assortment strategies (schematics) in assigned categories, new store locations, category resets, and speed to shelf initiatives. This includes accommodating decisions for new and discontinued products, working closely with merchant teams and supplier partners. Analytical skills and experience developed in this role provide important insight into assortment optimization and future modifications. This role offers hands on experience in the category management process and the opportunity to contribute to the company’s growth by bringing healthy and innovative products into the stores. Overview of Responsibilities Collaborate with Space Planning and Category Management teams to develop analytically driven, fact based, space efficient, customer centric, and store friendly schematics. Utilize software to support the creation of accurate optimized assortment plans. Analyze performance of implemented schematics based on sales metrics and reporting tools. Perform quality reviews for the assigned area of responsibility to ensure accuracy and clear communication. Create product orders and tag batches for project and new stores. Assist in the space lab (MIRC) with category reset display for executive review and signoff Skills Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to solve problems using data analytics tools and techniques Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel Effective verbal and written communication skills Quick learner with ability to work independently Pursuing a BA/BS degree in economics, business, finance, analytics or a related field Qualifications Current enrollment in a BA/BS program in economics, business, finance, analytics or a related field Benefits In addition to a rewarding career, Sprouts offers a comprehensive program to help support you and your family.
