We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Space Planning Manager to join our innovative Amazon Go team. In this role, you will own a category or subset of categories and be responsible for building micro space plans, or Planograms, for Amazon Go stores. You will have strategic ownership over the visual presentation of your assigned categories and play a crucial role in optimizing category layouts to enhance the customer shopping experience and drive sales.
Key job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
1. Micro Space Planning:
- Own and manage a specific category or subset of categories within Amazon Go stores.
- Develop deep expertise in your assigned categories, understanding product lifecycles, seasonality, and customer preferences.
- Create and maintain detailed micro space plans for your categories across Amazon Go stores.
- Optimize product placement and shelf space allocation to maximize sales and improve customer experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure space plans align with overall store strategy and operational requirements.
2. Error Resolution:
- Troubleshoot and resolve planogram-related issues promptly
- Proactively identify and resolve errors in space planning, product placement, or planogram execution.
- Develop and implement processes to minimize errors and improve accuracy in space planning.
- Ensure planograms are deployed correctly across all relevant Amazon Go locations
3. Visual Presentation Strategy:
- Develop and implement strategies for the visual presentation of your categories.
- Ensure consistent and appealing product displays that enhance the shopping experience and reflect the Amazon Go brand.
- Stay current with retail trends and best practices in visual merchandising.
4. Data Analysis and Performance Monitoring:
- Analyze sales data, customer behavior patterns, and inventory metrics to inform space planning decisions.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and implement data-driven solutions.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to your categories.

Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
- Proficiency in space planning software, planogram tools, and data analysis platforms. Proven track record of developing and implementing successful space planning strategies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with innovative retail concepts and technologies is a plus.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $72,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $155,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
