Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Summer 2025 intern on our Human and Scientific Exploration Mission Strategy and Advanced Capabilities (MSAC) team in a Space Policy position working with our Government Operations Team in Crystal City (Arlington), VA. In this role, you will support both our MSAC team and Government Operations team. The role may include activities such as: monitoring and providing analysis of progress of legislative and regulatory issues of interest to the company. Developing strategy for and visiting elected government and regulatory officials to advise them of company issues and working with designated trade and business associations on political, legislative and regulatory issues of importance to the company. Must be a US Citizen.
Basic Qualifications:
Pursuing a BS in Space Policy, Foreign Service or other policy related field.
Prior internship experience working with the US House of Representatives or US Senate
Desired Skills:
NASA project or mission experience
Communications experience including public outreach and/or conference speaking/publications
Clearance Level: None

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
