Position Overview

QinetiQ has an immediate opening for a Space Systems Engineer support the next generation development for our Advanced Fire Control Cell.  The candidate will provide technical input and advice to the Program Manager and serve in a Systems Engineering role to support designs review, test procedures, and provide feedback and recommendations to ensure the vendor’s satellites will meet SDA’s architecture needs.  Duties include:

Responsibilities

 

Provide technical support and advisory services on complex space systems integration and test effortsOversee systems engineering processes, including cost, schedule, and performance tradeoffsSupport the development of test objectives, plans, schedules, and the execution of the tests, supporting analysis and developing reports Work with multiple teams and program offices supporting the coordination, development and execution of system test plans and integration efforts to include the planning, coordinating, executing tests, deconflicting resources, analyzing test data, identifying and facilitating the resolution of issues, and documenting test resultsPerform risk management activities, including identification and assessment, and develop risk mitigation strategiesSupport application product managers and coordinate cross-functional teams (i.e. Government, Military, SETA, FFRDC, UARC, & Industry)Develop briefings, written reports, and assessments to be provided to a variety of audiences, from working level to senior executives

 

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering and math Minimum of 8 years experience with satellite and fire control systemsTS/SCI clearance; #qinetiqclearedjobStrong Experience in requirements development and trackingTechnical and analytic understanding of satellite and ground system interactionExperience in systems engineering Ability to work in fast paced environment with excellent oral and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Masters degree in science, technology, engineering and math8 years experience with satellite fire control systemsAgile framework experience including use of Jira/Confluence Experience DoD and or IC customersCurrent experience with space systems Company EEO Statement
