Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Space Systems Engineering Intern to join our team! In this role you will get to learn the engineering aspects of space vehicle operations while contributing to real-world missions.

What You'll Be Doing:

This is a summer internship opportunity for a technically promising college student with interest in Satellite and Ground Station operations.You will be mentored by members of our Satellite Operations Systems and Services team to provide support to both internal and customer focused projects.Perform satellite telemetry, tracking, and commanding functions.Monitor satellite health and status.Analyze data to identify trends and anomalies.Contribute to troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts.Provide operational inputs to engineer and test teams.Perform other duties as assigned.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Must be enrolled in an Engineering curriculum at an accredited college or university and have completed typically 1+ year of studies in a major Engineering discipline (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, etc.).Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.A willingness to learn new engineering skills.Good interpersonal and communication skills.Must be a US Citizen.This position is located onsite in Colorado Springs.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

An understanding of Ground Station Systems, Space Systems, and data processing techniques.Knowledge of relevant engineering software (e.g., MATLAB, Python, CAD tools).Demonstrated leadership ability through community or campus involvement.

Salary Range: 

$21.44 - $37.55
