Spare Parts Coordinator

Expectations of the Role:

 

1.) Maintain strong inventory accuracy of the spare parts warehouses

2.) Responsible for receiving process for all incoming items

3.) Minimize SMOI (slow moving or obsolete inventory)

 

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Warehouse Management:

Establish and maintain strong 5s standards in the spare part warehouses Ensure SOX compliance and record retention procedures is enforced. Participate in safety and housekeeping programs as established by Plant

 

Counts:

Count spare parts on a regular basis and record these counts in SAP Establish and maintain a cycle count schedule for the following 12-month period Identify spare parts in order to set them up in SAP for future purchasing Review critical spare parts with Maintenance Team to ensure safety stocks are accurate Review all spare parts with Maintenance Team to determine if parts are obsolete Work with Maintenance Buyer to remove obsolete items from inventory Enforcing work order policies & procedures to ensure accuracy Reconcile & investigate root cause inventory discrepancies to make sustainable solutions.

 

Receiving:

Receive and put away both coded and non-coded parts into SAP Ensure proper documentation is completed within SOX requirements and record retention policies Prepare non-coded part kits for maintenance team in efficient and effective manner Performs Good Receipts on plant purchase orders to support buyer Establish and maintain designated receiving area with strong connection to maintenance

 

Other:

Coordinate training programs for Operations and Maintenance Handle special projects as requested

COMPUTER AND SOFTWARE COMPENTENCIES

 

The employee must be able must be able to operate a computer or other keyboard instrument

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

 

An Associated Degree or applicable experience preferred.

 

Experience:

SAP Experience, Purchasing, Excel, Word, MS Mail. 

 

 

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

 

The employee should possess the ability to:

 

Able to do repetitive hand, arm, leg movements for several hours Able to climb on and off of fork truck Ability to stand for 10 - 12 hours straight Able to climb and descend stairs for up to 12 hours continuously Lift and push and pull 50lbs. More than 100 times per day Must be able to squat, bend at the waist and knees freely Exposure to temperature extremes Exposure to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable Bending and twisting Handle, control or feel objects, tools or control Repetitive movements
