Job Description
Performs technical and advisory work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of general diagnostic and therapeutic imaging devices or systems. Partners with radiation physicist to preforms quality assurance testing and calibration. Provides a high level of technical support to imaging departments.
Job Responsibility
* Installs, calibrates, tests, analyzes, troubleshoots and repairs general diagnostic and therapeutic imaging equipment and systems utilizing electronic test and measurement equipment and techniques. * Performs scheduled preventative maintenance on general imaging equipment in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations, applicable codes, standards, and department policy. * Assists in the training of medical and clinical staff on the safe and proper use of general imaging equipment. Provides operational and technical advice on these systems. Interacts with clinical staff on a regular basis to insure needs are being met and may be expected to be present during the clinical use of equipment. * Documents and maintains accurate records of all inspections, repairs, adjustments, and other service performed on imaging equipment. Requests/orders necessary repair and spare parts according to established procedures and contract relationships. Installs or assists in the installation of new imaging equipment, tubes, transformers, and other imaging modules, accessories or parts. * Collaborate with leadership in selection of new equipment purchases, installations, service contract negotiations and provide recommendations for capital equipment replacements. Assists in the development of policies, procedures, and protocols related to imaging equipment maintenance. * Participates in both internal and external educational programs through professional associations to develop and maintain the required current technical aptitude. * Builds and maintains productive relationships manufacturer's representatives to obtain the necessary technical product information. Performs related duties, as required.

Job Qualification
Associate's Degree or knowledge of biomedical engineering principles as normally acquired through completion of two (2) years of college, vocational or technical school, required. Bachelor's Degree, preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience with imaging equipment and imaging device service including analog imaging device, networking technology and electronic practices, required. Valid Driver's license, required. Certification Radiology Equipment Specialists (CRES), preferred. Obtain and maintain OEM certifications for assigned equipment, required. Proficiency and knowledge in repair and maintenance of multi-vendor imaging systems, devices and networking technology. Demonstrated leadership, communication and interpersonal skills in high-pressure client-environment. Strong project management skills. Computer skills including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and scheduling applications.
