The Schools of Public Engagement (SPE) is seeking a Front Desk Student Assistant to work in the School of Undergraduate Studies. SPE comprises the School of Media Studies; the School of Undergraduate Studies; the Milano School of Policy, Management, and Environment; the Creative Writing Program; and the Julien J. Studley Graduate Programs in International Affairs, as well as several programs, research centers and institutes.
THIS POSITION IS ON CAMPUS. SPE’s School of Undergraduate Studies (SUS) seeks a reliable, mature student with strong office skills to start work immediately. Students who are able to work for at least four semesters are preferred. Summer 2024 hours may also be available.
Assistants work closely with staff and faculty on a variety of tasks and special projects.
The office assistant’s clerical responsibilities include:
Covering our reception deskAssisting with in-person, telephone, and email inquiriesAssisting with office support for staff and faculty as assignedCreating a variety of documents in Google Suite and Excel
A professional demeanor and attention to detail are essential.

Our office hours for the Fall 2023 semester are 10 am to 6 pm Monday – Friday. Ideal candidates are able to work 20 hours a week.
Pay rate is $16/hr. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Prior office experience essential Strong writing skills Must be proficient in Google Suite Familiarity with Excel Able to efficiently manage a high volume of email and requests from students, faculty and staff Comfortable with all aspects of Zoom Ability to learn new platforms quickly
