We are seeking **Specimen Receipt & Processing Associate 2** to join IQVIA Laboratories at **Valencia, CA** . Responsible for various activities associated with accessioning clinical specimens and guiding entry-level staff, while serving as a point of contact for routine troubleshooting and resolution. **What You’ll be Doing:** + Accession and resolve problems ensuring all samples are accurately identified, sorted, and labeled for testing and/or storage. + Maintain freezer and inventory. + Identify errors or potential problems and escalate to senior level staff. + Guide entry-level staff on basic department procedures and assist with onboarding of new staff. + Support and respond to after-hour alarms and/or other job critical functions. + Handle receipt of compounds and control material, as required. + Support safety, quality, and 6S requirements and initiatives. + Notify appropriate staff of supply shortages. **What we are looking for:** + High School Diploma or equivalent, or Bachelor’s Degree (CAP/CLIA lab locations may require a BS in chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology). + 6 months of related experience. + Basic knowledge of internal systems and procedures with demonstrated ability to navigate and resolve routine challenges. + Good working knowledge of relevant procedures. **The knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this role:** + Basic computer skills. + Ability to maintain effective reporting procedures and control workflow. + Strong attention to detail and accuracy. + Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients. **What we offer you:** We put our employees at the center of everything we do and are committed to providing them, and their families, with benefits that meet their diverse and changing needs.
