Duties Description The Assistant Deputy Secretary of State duties in the Division of Licensing Services will include but are not limited to the following:• Under the general direction of the Deputy Secretary of State for Business Development, the incumbent will assist with the development and implementation of policy and with the management and oversight of the Division of Licensing Services, which regulates close to 900,000 occupational licensees.• The incumbent will work with executive staff, government partners and other key stakeholders to craft and implement policy and strategic initiatives. The incumbent will assist with the management and oversight of executive initiatives, including but not limited to: technology and process improvement projects, the development and implementation of legislation, and the effective use of data to guide the work of the Division. • The incumbent will work with the division leadership to plan, organize and direct the work of the division through a strong management team. This will involve the review and analysis of metrics to best organize the work of the division to ensure the efficient processing of customer requests.• The incumbent will also represent the division at internal and external meetings and undertake special projects and other assignments from time to time as directed by the Deputy Secretary and/or agency executive management.
