Seeking Special Education Teachers to work in Reading District, Grades K-8
$52-64k/year, Depending on education, licensure and/or years of experience in the field
The Special Education Teacher for Emotional Support will develop and provide specialized instruction to elementary and middle school students with emotional support (ES) needs within the Reading School District. Reporting to the Supervisor of Special Education, this position will establish a supportive learning environment, evaluate and assess student progress relative to instructional objectives, provide guidance to support staff, and coordinate delivery of special education services in each student’s IEP. Grades K-8.
The CES utilizes an “indirect” service delivery approach whether working at the individual or systems level. The theoretical foundation of this work is based in applied behavior analysis and positive behavior support and, to the extent possible, delivered within a preventative or early intervening framework.

QualificationsRequirements:
-Must be 21+
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related degree required, Master’s degree in Special Education preferred.
- We provide emergency certification if not already obtained prior to starting employment
- Previous Special Education Teacher experience strongly preferred, will also consider student teaching experience
