Through the passion of our specialists, we continue to treat every patient with care, compassion and respect, while providing affordable and accessible services. *Job Summary* Responsible for coordinating the activities of all staff members that work with students in the classroom and for teaching students directly. *Job Responsibilities* 1. Assesses and evaluates student learning, following the guidelines of the state of Connecticut, LEAs, and School policies and procedures with respect to record keeping, documentation, reporting, assessing, etc. 2. Teaches students through planning and individualizing instruction to meet each student’s goals and objectives as stated in the IEP. 3. Manages student behavior according to the policies and procedures of the School. Communicates expectations for student achievement. Provides a safe and structured environment at all times, instituting therapeutic holds when safety is threatened. 4. Consults with Principal regarding the Program’s mission and operations to ensure they are in support of the Organization’s overall mission. Develops positive culture in classroom. 5. Participates in school staff meetings, PPTs and Treatment Team meetings, as appropriate. 6. Works collaboratively as a team member with school staff members, parents, colleagues, and administrators. 7. Works closely with educational assistants assigned to classroom and provides feedback to principal about educational assistants’ performance as needed. 8.
