Seeking Special Education Teachers to work in Upper Darby District
Class sizes of 8 or less students
$50-55k/year, Depending on education, licensure and/or years of experience in the field
We are currently seeking Special Education Teachers who are comfortable working with children on the autism spectrum with disabilities and high needs. The teacher will have a Teachers Aide assigned to the class for support, as well as any additional supports the students may require on an individualized basis. Develops and implements instructional programs for students with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and/or behavior disorders and students with Autism. This unique position is at Upper Darby School District with an option of ESY.
Every day as a Special Education Teacher you will:
Ensure the safety of all studentsDeliver education lessons in a small classroom settingImplement IEP's and track education goalsSupport and reinforce PBIS goals and objectivesParticipate in ABA training and specifically Verbal Behavior training

Qualifications
Requirements:
Must be 21+Bachelor’s degree in Special Education OR other degree in education or human services requiredPennsylvania Instructional I Certification and or eligible for emergency certification through PDE. 1 year experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and/or behavior disorders in a classroom, residential or ABA outpatient setting requiredSchedule:
Monday - Friday, 8am - 3:15pmExtended School Year- Monday to Friday 8:15am to 12:15pmDevereux conducts a very thorough background check process to ensure the safety of the children in our care.
