Job Description Summary
In collaboration with the Director of Special Events and Promotions, responsible for the overall development of the special events program throughout Agua Caliente Casinos while ensuring its successful execution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
Assist the Director in developing the comprehensive goals and measures necessary for successfully implementing the special events program for Agua Caliente Casinos. Assist the Director with developing the business plans for Special Events and Promotions. Develop new ideas for ongoing promotions and special events and submit proposals. Assist the Director with implementing special programs, promotions, and event calendars to stimulate and optimize business opportunities. Collaborates with key stakeholders to support marketing and event strategy and development. Create, manage, and track department and event budgets and expenses, including monthly P&L. Lead the Special Events Managers, ensuring their successful execution of events and promotions. Assist the Director in evaluating department staff policies, procedures, and job performance. Coordinate with necessary external vendors and internal departments to ensure the efficiency of promotions. Assist the Director with creating and implementing departmental SOPs for Special Events and Promotions. Must comply with all applicable AC Casinos System of Internal Controls, Standard Operating Procedures, and all Tribal Regulations.
Management Responsibilities
Manages subordinate managers who supervise employees in the Special Events department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Carries out all management responsibilities per the organization's policies and applicable laws.
