VNA Health Group, a trusted leader in providing compassionate care and support to our communities, is seeking a dynamic Special Events Manager to join our team. This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of special events to support our agency's fundraising goals. The role includes planning, coordinating, and executing events while ensuring operational excellence, engaging donors, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. Reporting to the Director of Development, the Special Events Manager will play a key role in advancing our mission.

Responsibilities

 

Plan, manage, and execute all special events to achieve fundraising goals.Develop and monitor event budgets, financial reports, and donor acknowledgments.Coordinate with agency departments to ensure seamless event execution and collaboration.Serve as the primary liaison to volunteers and the board, providing administrative support and fostering relationships.Lead event marketing efforts, including creating promotional materials, managing social media campaigns, and leveraging giving platforms.Track all event logistics, committee meetings, mailings, and collateral materials to ensure event success.Support additional agency fundraising initiatives as needed.Uphold organizational policies regarding attendance, appearance, and professional conduct. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Event Management, or a related field.2+ years of experience in special events management and fundraising.Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading and editing.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT and Constant Contact preferred.Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.Flexibility to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed.Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
