The SIU Analyst is responsible for the recognition of potential fraud within claims and policies (Utica Mutual and Founders). They will use fraud analytics, or outside sources such social media to identify suspected fraudulent submissions.
What you will do
The SIU Analyst impacts cases identified for potential fraud or abuse. Their ability to identify fraudulent or abusive claims and polices allows an SIU Investigator to fully investigate allegations for impact. The SIU impact is compliance driven as well as having a strong financial impact on the overall companies’ performance. The SIU performance has a strong and direct correlation to the ability of the company to not pay out or underwrite potential fraudulent or abusive claims/policies.
Essential Functions:
Conduct comprehensive online research including Internet, social media, public records and government database searches for potential fraudulent or suspicious claims or policies. Collect, document, report and provide recommendations on evidence in support of the overall investigation. In partnership with the SIU team, conduct fraud identification and awareness training. Work with fraud analytics tools as it relates to fraud, waste and abuse including but not limited to Verisk ISO, Decision Net and Lexis. Performs other duties as assigned. Conforms with all corporate policies and procedures.What you need:
2-4 years SIU Analytics or Insurance related experience preferred; 2-4 years Strong Knowledge of claims and policy coverages across multiple lines of business preferred; 2-4 years Experience in identifying red flags indicators of fraud within a claim/policy preferred. Bachelor's Degree preferred.Salary Range: $63,600-$95,300
The final salary to be paid and position within the internal salary range is reflective of the employee’s work experience, their geographic location, education, certification(s), scope and responsibilities in the role, and additional qualifications.
