Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Liaison Officer to facilitate communication and cooperation between US Military Special Operations Forces and key Department of State stakeholders, ensuring smooth operational execution and strategic alignment with our mission objectives. The Liaison Officer will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between different departments, external agencies, and community partners. This position demands an individual with exceptional interpersonal communication skills and a deep understanding of special operations protocols and procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering relationships that enhance collaboration and promote effective dialogue among civilian, military personnel, and external entities. You will be expected to attend meetings, prepare briefings, and present information that is critical to decision-making processes. You must be adaptable, proactive, and able to navigate complex situations with ease. As a Liaison Officer, you will significantly contribute to the strategic objectives of the organization and support operational initiatives which are essential for maintaining readiness and achieving overall mission success.   

Responsibilities Facilitate communication between Special Operations Forces, Department of State, and agencies.Attend and represent Special Operations Forces interests at various meetings and forums.Prepare and present briefings, reports, and updates to stakeholders.Develop and maintain partnerships.Assist in resolving conflicts or misunderstandings between parties involved.Ensure compliance with Special Operations Forces policies, protocols, and regulatory requirements. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or 8 years of military service.5 years of special operations experience.Strong understanding of special operations structure, operations, and protocols.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Prior experience in liaison, public affairs, or stakeholder engagement roles.Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse groups.Problem-solving skills and the capacity to work under pressure.Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other communication tools.

Preferred Qualifications Experience:  Demonstrated experience in the following: Management/leadership 5 years’ experience managing people and resources.Excellent communications, influencing, and leadership skills.Ability to promote teamwork, negotiate, and provide conflict management.SOF experience 5 Years experience with SOF operations.Minimum of 2 years of experience serving as a SOF Staff Officer.
