Job Details Special Procedures Technologist will provide proficient technical support by assisting the physician with patient preparation, intra and post-interventional/surgical procedures, management of supplies and devices and assisting with direct patient care. Responsible for safe and effective operation of radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment as well as specialized imaging and technical equipment used for procedures. Is a patient/family educator, advocate and liaison. Responsibilities: • Knowledge to perform specialized technical skills in vascular, non-vascular, and interventional procedures. • Participates in the diagnosis and treatment of invasive procedures. • Assist the radiologist and nursing team for interventional procedures. • Maintains a high-level of competency as it relates to the operation of all radiographic equipment, including C-arm, O-arm, Hybrid Equipment Rooms, Power Injector and Interventional suites. Qualifications: • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiology is required • NYDOH License is required • ARRT Certification is required • BLS/CPR Certification by American Heart Association is required • One (1) or more years of experience as a practicing OR x-ray technologist in a high volume setting is preferred • Interventional radiology experience is preferred Salary Range USD $53.00 - USD $53.00 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
