The role of the Special Procedures Technician is to provide quality non invasive cardiovascular diagnostic studies performed in an efficient effective and timely manner.
Qualifications
1-3 years’ experience with 2D M-Mode echocardiography color flow doppler mapping peripheral arterial and venous imaging carotid duplex scanning Stress echocardiography TEEs 3 channel holter monitoring. Department call of a minimum of 7 days per month may be required to include but not limited to weekdays weekends and holidays.Advanced understanding of cardiovascular anatomy physiology and pathology; advanced understanding of dysrhthmias. High School graduate or equivalent. Completion of an accredited training program in echocardiography. Maintains current certification in echocardiography or obtained certification within 6-12 months of employment. ARDMS-RDCS certificationFire SafetyMaintains current BLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
AS degree in cardiovascular technology.Neonates and Pediatric Echocardiography preferred.This position is represented by SEIU.
