Job Description
Performs and assists with interventional and imaging procedures. Upholds the Standard of Practice of a registered technologist.
Responsibilities:
Prepares procedure room, proper patient positioning and operation of imaging equipment. Understands imaging modalities such as fluoroscopy, angiography, and ultrasound, along with the ability to accurately view images. Creates sterile table based on type of case and MD preference - Maintains a sterile environment and follows strict infection control protocols. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. Ability to interpret cross sectional anatomy. Understands the use of various instruments and catheters. Operates x-ray equipment and controls to obtain correct exposure. Manipulates images for filming purposes to ensure proper visualization of vessels. Ensures images are labeled with correct date and patient identification as well as identifying and labeling vessels appropriately. Properly documents daily procedures within proper protocols.Job Qualification
Vocational or Technical school Diploma required. Current License to practice as a Radiologist in New York State, and Current ARRT Radiology registration required, plus specialized certifications as needed. 1-3 years of technical experience, required.Schedule: Rotating 10 hour shifts
