Job Summary
The Special Program Aid, under supervision, will assist the college, its departments, and faculty with general administrative assistance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide clerical support to the advising area identified by the department, use sound, independent judgment when performing duties.
Meet and greet students seeking information and/or advising.
Assist in maintaining current and confidential records and information.
Develop and maintain professional relationships with faculty, administrative, and classified staff.
Keep calendars and reports related to student appointments and requests.
Aid in preparation of advising presentations and set up information tables locally.
Meet regularly with the administrative and advising staff in the college for staff meetings, training, and/or workshops.

Additional Responsibilities
Assist in training students to use UCONNECT for registration purposes.
Maintain documentation of student appointments through Trac Cloud system.
Minimum Requirements
Education – High School diploma
Experience – Three years of related experience.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
May not be a currently enrolled undergraduate student at Texas A&M International University.
Knowledge and Abilities
Knowledge of:
Word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Ability to:
Multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Verbal and written communication skills.

Other Requirements
Position requires keeping a work schedule of 19 hours per week.
Position requires on campus, face-to-face interactions.
Position requires maintaining a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace.
Pay of Rate: $ 11.35/hour for up to 19 hours weekly
