Overview Special Projects Business Office Manager needed to support our KY & TN Facilities! Must reside in KY or TN and be willing to travel overnight Responsible for acting as interim facility Business Office Manager when vacancies occur, as well as providing the interim support with focus on AR and collections. This includes providing the business office staff with the knowledge and skills necessary to complete all tasks assigned. Evaluate efficiency, accuracy, and productivity of all office staff in collaboration with the REBOC and Controller and requirements set forth by Medicaid and Medicare. How you Will make a difference Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives that improve the customer experience, enhance work flow, and/or improve the work environment. Assist the Regional Business Office Consultant (REBOC) with on-boarding and training of new Business Office staff. Act as a role model in the execution of business office policies, procedures, and daily functions. Evaluate accuracy of billing under Medicaid and Medicare guidelines set forth by state and federal government. Identify areas of concern and effectively communicate information with REBOC. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the accounts receivable process and make recommendations for improvement when applicable. Assist in evaluating issues of poor performance and effectively communicate to the REBOC. What you Need to make a Difference Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field or combination of education and experience. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in accounts receivable or as a Business Office Manager; long term care experience Knowledge and experience with long term care accounts receivable practices. Working knowledge of long-term care regulations, as well as knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid (including other third party insurance companies) billing practices. Effective verbal and written English communication skills. Demonstrated intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, Internet and Intranet navigation.
