Allied Universal® Event Services, an Allied Universal® Company, is hiring a Special Response Team Officer. The Special Response Team Officer will provide incident-response teams at client venues for sports, concerts, and special events. This role may be on foot, bicycle or motorized vehicle depending on venue and deployment. The Special Response Team Officer shall respond to incidents either observed or called in from command post, in support of regular security personnel and on-duty law enforcement. The Special Response Team Officer may be required to compose reports, be part of eviction teams and deter criminal activity and misconduct.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform roaming security patrols of designated areas at special events, on foot or in vehicleWatch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazardsSound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized personsWarn violators of client rule infractions, such as unruly behavior, or carrying forbidden articlesPermit authorized persons to enter restricted areas and monitor entrances and exitsObserve departing personnel to protect against theft of client and company property and ensure that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirementsRespond to Incidents as directed by client, managers, and law enforcementRequest law enforcement assistance as needed and support law enforcement as requestedInvestigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by client and companyAid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional mannerMake emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post OrdersMake productivity and safety recommendations to management

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or equivalentLicensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employmentMust possess one or more of the following:Service in any military branch, preferably with a Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) related to law enforcement, security (e.g., Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms), or any support role in a Combat ZoneActive or retired status as a law enforcement officer, including police, sheriff, federal and state agents, and corrections officersGraduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, firefighter, or first-responder type of experiencePolice Officer Standards Training (POST) CertifiedBachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studiesAssociate’s degree (or sixty credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military serviceBe able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitorsDemonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the publicEffective oral and written communication skillsPrior training in de-escalation techniquesCritical thinking skillsActive listening skillsAssess and evaluate situations effectivelyIdentify critical issues quickly and accuratelyResearch, investigate, compile informationMediate conflict with tact, diplomacyWrite informatively, clearly, and accuratelyTeamworkAttention to detail
