Job Summary:
As a Benefits Specialist, you will provide benefit generalist support for the various benefit functions such as Retirement Plans, Health and Welfare Plans, and Leave Management.
Job Responsibilities:
30% Provide general support to the Benefit Team. Assisting with the administration of all benefit plans. This can include preparing invoices, leave letters and billing, running reports, supporting life events processing, and other projects as needed. Primary back up for the Manager, Retirement Plans.
30% Provide day to day administration of HR Benefit Box
Advise colleagues on eligibility, coverage, and other benefits matters as needed. Escalate colleague complaints to providers and internal management for issue resolution.
Monitor and respond timely to inquiries, coordinate with other HR Teams on frequently asked questions to create a great colleague experience when contacting HR.
Overall management and team scheduling for the HR Benefit Box
20% Assists with annual open enrollment including testing, employee support, communications, reporting and auditing. Attending meetings, coordinating OE meeting scheduling with external vendors.
10% Partners with departments within HR to assist with the implementation of policies, procedures and processes to achieve common goals and ensures programs are communicated and are understood by colleagues. Manages and assists in the deployment of Benefits products and services. Develops/delivers employee education/communication materials.
10% Keep up to date with regulations and related compliance issues, assist with identification of any process changes that may be required, notify management and work with third party vendors to ensure compliance (such as annual notices).
Education, Skills & Experience:
For this position, 2 to 4 years of related Employee Benefits (including Leave Administration and/or Retirement Plans) experience is preferred.
Experience in the financial industry preferred.
Candidates with advanced degrees (Associates, Bachelor’s) preferred, High School diploma or GED is required
Ability to demonstrate conceptual thinking and have a process improvement focus to workflows.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong administrative skills (Microsoft Word, Excel)
Ability to interface with all levels of organization
Excellent interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and team orientation.
Ability to handle highly confidential material with discretion at all times
Workday experience preferred but not required
The estimated salary range for this position is $34.00USD to $36.00USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
