Purpose of Role

The Global Brand Marketing Specialist, Sportswear support the Sr. Director, Global Brand Marketing, Sportswear, the Sr Lead, Sportswear & cross-functional partners to ensure plans are aligned with Category strategy and vision.  

 

A qualified candidate must be obsessed with understanding and empowering athletes along the journey to compete. He or she must be highly consumer-centric, digitally and culturally savvy, and passionate about delivering exceptional storytelling and experiences at every customer touchpoint. He or she must have a passion sport and culture and have a willingness to learn about the competitive marketplace/keep up with current trends.  

 

The ability to think strategically, manage many tasks at once, and deliver high-quality output every time, on time is critical in this role.  Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Assisting in the execution of the yearly activation plans to include all marketing deliverables in digital/ecomm, media, print, events, retail and social media, helping the cross-functional team exceed the expectations of the consumer and work to see that campaigns are followed to completion. Be able to collaborate with other business units and across departments to establish and support the creative direction. 

Your Impact Support the category in writing marketing plans and strategy presentations, including, compiling necessary data and insights and building-out of deck or brief in PowerPoint and Keynote. Be an expert in the product associated with the category. Coordinate, schedule, create agendas and own recaps for cross-functional meetings Own the seasonal product promotional and seeding order process for the category, understand the process inside and out, manage a budget, communicate seasonal stories to cross-functional partners and execute as well as track category orders Assist in photo shoot planning and execution; work with creative team to understand product needs, create any additional looks with merchandising and gather and organize product for shoot shot list.  Own execution and share-out of research projects pertaining to the consumer, sport, culture, fashion and social media/communication trends allowing the team to be consumer-centric in everything we do.  Work closely with partners across all departments (product, merchandising, PR, consumer engagement, retail, ecomm and regional teammates) to develop and deliver 360 marketing plans that reach consumers where they are Work with the social media team to activate campaigns and offer the consumer experiences unique to Under Armour Align/problem-solve with regional marketing teams in APAC/EMEA/Americas to ensure seasonal marketing priorities are executed and long-term strategic goals are supported Maintain business unit calendar and coordinate events Ensure seasonal hero products across apparel, footwear & accessories are properly represented in all photo and video shoots Other duties may be assigned 
  Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with typically 2 years of related experience OR Master’s degree without experience OR typically 6 years of relevant experience without degree. A results-oriented self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset is a must Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing, create accurate reports, and work cross functionally with other departments such as apparel, footwear, and Category marketing is a must Prior Experience in handling multiple tasks to meet challenging deadlines is a must Strong presentation skills, with ability to present virtually and in-person is a must 2-5 years’ experience of traditional business computer skills, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint / Keynote, Word). Mac experience is a must Knowledge of emerging social media platforms, influencer marketing is a plus Experience in retail and/or footwear and apparel industry and/or a relevant sports or gym/fitness and/or fitness technology background are a plus Workplace Location Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore HQ office.  $67,023.00 - $92,156.90 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
