About the Role

The Specialist will collaborate with cross functional teams in the design and implementation phases of new business platforms, systems, and programs to ensure that they are effectively operationalized. This colleague will support and be a subject matter expert in data maintenance of existing systems, improve and implement operational policies, procedures, and pharmacy workflow. The Specialist will also collaborate with enterprise technical support teams to address escalations and validate requests pertaining to system changes and updates.

This role will have responsibilities that may fall outside of regular business hours as required based on business needs.

Key Accountabilities

Provide second level support to the MediSystem pharmacy locations with respect to new and existing pharmacy systemsWork with enterprise support teams to provide business context to guide implementation procedures/workflow/applications and how it relates to ongoing technical support Business member owning the user acceptance testing around proposed system enhancements/changesReview and summarize feature release notes as it pertains to pharmacy management system(s), such as KrollPrepare internal communications in a clear, concise, timely fashion to inform critical stakeholders of system changes and obtain approvals as requiredBusiness SME for projects that influence pharmacy systems and current/future operational workflowCollaborate with technical stakeholders (internal and external) to solution, validate and implement sound and sustainable end-to-end functional infrastructure designsParticipate in systems projects, ensuring that functional design and delivery solutions meet business requirementsReview, action, and timely resolve testing defects across Functional User Acceptance Testing (FUT), System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) environments related to Performance and Systems Testing.Provides implementation support during warranty periods for pharmacy systems Provide feature demos to the Business for pharmacy management systemsCollaborate with business and technical teams to maintain and modify configurations settings for pharmacy management systemsCreate robust functional design documentationWork cross functionally with the enterprise team to develop, evaluate and deploy Kroll Workflow, Pricing Co-pay, Configuration changes within the confines of the current applicationSupport ongoing activities for pharmacy systems, including quotes, configuration changes, testing new releases and explore new functionalityVet system enhancement requests and adapt current functionality within business applications to satisfy the needs and objectives of the businessCollaborate with internal and external cross-functional teams to schedule, deploy and validate system changes inside or outside of business hours as required

What you will need:

University or College degree in technical or health-related fieldMinimum 3-5 years of front-end user or back-end experience with KrollExperience in related LTC systems (e.g. PointClickCare, PacMed, digital pen technology) considered an assetAdvanced knowledge in Microsoft suite of applicationsProficiency and comfort with technology and new toolsIdentify self-guided learning opportunities and leverage online resources for professional and independent growthAbility to productively work in a fast-paced environment both independently and as part of a teamAbility to prioritize tasks and respond in a timely mannerStrong verbal and written communication skills and the ability explain complex concepts in an easy-to-understand way to a non-technical audienceAbility to work both independently and in a team dynamic Ability to learn new concepts, technologies, and methodologies in a fast-paced industryExperience in extracting, preparing, and synthesizing large amounts of data from multiple data sources using applications such like Microsoft SQL considered an asset.
